Whistleblowers in the Public Interest

In accordance with Law no. 361/2022 on the protection of whistleblowers in the public interest, KUMA România S.R.L. (CIF: RO11266580, Reg. Com.: J1998001339298) has implemented an internal mechanism for reporting breaches of the law or other irregularities.

A person submitting a notification regarding possible breaches of the law, as a whistleblower in the public interest, may choose to report nominally or anonymously.

Nominal reporting allows direct communication between the whistleblower and the designated person, in order to clarify the issues raised.

Anonymous reporting does not benefit from the protection and guarantees provided by Law no. 361/2022. In such cases, the whistleblower cannot be informed regarding the registration of the report, the progress of the review, or the adopted solution.

Nominal Report

Reports that do not include the whistleblower’s name, surname, contact details, or signature will be examined and addressed insofar as they contain indications of legal violations – similar to anonymous reports.

General Information

KUMA România S.R.L. (CIF: RO11266580, Reg. Com.: J1998001339298) has operationalized both the internal and external reporting channels for individuals who wish to report possible breaches of the law, in their capacity as whistleblowers in the public interest.

According to Law no. 361/2022, reports can be made as follows:

Internal channels – within the company, through the mechanisms made available to employees and collaborators (see Chapter III of Law no. 361/2022);
External channels – to the National Integrity Agency (ANI) or to other competent authorities depending on the field (see Chapter IV of the law);
Public disclosure – to the press, professional, trade union or employers’ organizations, NGOs, or parliamentary committees (see Chapter V of the law).

Whistleblowers may submit reports through the following channels:

Online – via the Whistleblowers in the Public Interest platform;
E-mail – at: [dedicated whistleblowers’ address];
Post – to the registered office of KUMA România S.R.L. (Str. Stupini nr. 85B, Loc. Bănești, 107050, Prahova County), with the note To the attention of the designated person – public whistleblower;
In person – at the company’s headquarters, by prior appointment (Str. Stupini nr. 85B, Loc. Bănești, 107050, Prahova County).

If KUMA România S.R.L. receives a report that falls under the competence of ANI (National Integrity Agency) or another authority, it will be redirected to the competent institution, while ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the information provided.
